New location
Home of our film festival will be this year exceptionally on the other side of Tisza river at Délvidék Ház (Közép fasor 1-3) since reconstruction works on the historical building of Belvárosi Cinema has been started at the beginning of this year.
In 2020 however we may celebrate the 100th birthday of our city's oldest cinema in a newly renovated, beautiful building, and the Festival gets back its original home again.
After leaving downtown this year, we moved into a new destination in the green zone of Szeged where we could find a large screening room with tiered seating for 220 persons. During the transitional period, the new room provides a pleasant environment for our cinema as well as for the film festival.
Fortunately, we did not have to leave our old building completely, one of our screening rooms is still open and working continuously allowing interesting programs for visitors at the time of the film festival.
