Zsófia Szilágyi
She graduated from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Ildikó Enyedi and Péter Gothár’s class. Her short film ‘Semleges hely‘, made in 2006, premiered at the 39th Hungarian Film Week. Between 2007-2009 she worked as Ildikó Enyed’s teaching assistant at the university. In 2011 she won the scholarship of the Goethe Institute in Hamburg. Between 2014-2016 she was on the staff of Ildikó Enyedi’s film On Body and Soul, while also writing and directing short films. Her first feature film One Day won the international critics’ award in Cannes in 2018. Her second feature January 2 premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival.
