Mónika Mécs
At the start of her career, she worked on documentaries uncovering social issues, then co-founded M&M Film with Ernő Mesterházy. They participated in the production of a number of box office hits, while also producing art films such as Szabolcs Hajdu’s Bibliotheque Pascal and Attila Till’s Beast. In the meantime, she co-produced feature films, too, including the award-winning Milky Way and Womb, both directed by Benedek Fliegauf. She also served as the producer of Just the Wind (Berlinale 2012, Silver Bear), Those Who Remained, as well as Ildikó Enyedi’s latest two films, On Body and Soul (Berlinale 2017, Golden Bear) and The Story of My Wife (2021).
