Gábor Rajna
He worked in international co-productions at Focus Film Kft., then became a founder of Laokoon Filmgroup. He has been the producer, co-producer or executive producer of more than 100 films, including shorts that were screened at festivals (Venice, Berlinale, Cannes), a popular TV series, feature films including Kills On Wheels, Sunset (Venice Film Festival), Those Who Remained (short-listed for the Academy Awards), as well as Natural Light (Silver Bear at the Berlinale), Things Worth Weeping For (Sarajevo) and Rumours, with Cate Blanchett, in competition in Cannes.
Together with producer Gábor Sipos, he has produced Son of Saul by László Nemes Jeles, which has won 65 awards, including the best foreign language film award at Cannes, at the Golden Globes, at BAFTA as well as at the Academy Awards in 2016.
Founder of the camera and equipment rental companies Vision Team (later Vantage Vision) and Special Grip Hungary, and of the studio complex Astra Filmland. The rental companies have supported the Vilmos Zsigmond International Film Festival from the very beginning and also hand out an award every year which supports one talented young Hungarian cinematographer with high-value camera services.
